I’m on the ground in Mobile for Senior Bowl week at the University of South Alabama, where the story of Tuesday’s practice was the excellent play of the edge group, which came in as the strength of this all-star showcase.
Before I dive into specifics on some of those edge players below, let’s take a quick look at which of my top 50 prospects are here this week—both to illustrate the depth of talent at the event, and to give you a sneak peek at my working big board:
Tennessee CB Colton Hood
Texas Tech IDL Lee Hunter
Florida IDL Caleb Banks
Clemson edge T.J. Parker
Texas CB Malik Muhammad
Notre Dame WR Malachi Fields
Arizona State OT Max Iheanachor
I’ll be keeping close tabs on this group over the next few days and monitoring prospects outside of my top 50 to see who could enter the early-round conversation by week’s end. And of course there will be more exclusive scouting notes, intel, and practice tape hitting your inbox over the next few days, so be sure to keep an eye on this space.

Tuesday standouts: We mentioned Hood, Hunter, Stanford TE Sam Roush, and Michigan edge Derrick Moore on the podcast. I’m sharing four more guys who popped yesterday, including two edge rushers on the rise.
QB rankings and tape: Stacking the Senior Bowl quarterbacks one through six, with behind-the-scenes practice footage from the field.
Nudge guys: Scouting notes on some under-the-radar prospects who flashed in team drills.
Quote of the day: Today’s entry comes from longtime NFL scout and former Senior Bowl executive director Phil Savage.
