Thursdays at the Senior Bowl are for watching red zone drills and gathering intel from league sources, and today I spent a lot of time doing both. We’ll get into the details below, but first, a couple of quick programming notes before we dive in:
Tomorrow morning, we’ll be debuting an interview with Saints EVP/GM Mickey Loomis as part of our Decision Maker series at The McShay Show. Loomis is in his 25th year calling shots in New Orleans, making him the longest-tenured (non-owner) “decision maker” in the NFL. We had a wide-ranging conversation where he went behind the scenes on the drafting of Tyler Shough, explained why the Saints have a smaller draft board than most teams, and got candid about mock draft simulators. It’s an interview you won’t want to miss.
